This Less-Invasive Technique Leads to Less Pain and Faster Healing

Overwhelmed by the advantages of this less-invasive technique perfected by Chinese physician Dr. Li in the early 1990s, Dr. Gollub became one of the first New Mexico physicians trained in it, and has also trained other physicians in the method as well.

The no-scalpel vasectomy is faster (20-30 minutes), generally associated with minimal blood loss, and most importantly, less painful. Patients do not require any narcotic pain medicine and most patients take only acetaminophen for 1 - 2 days.

Some patients do not require any medicine at all!  Generally, patients can expect some mild groin discomfort for about 7 days, Most patients return to work in 1 - 2 days.
